YouTube Create: what we know about YouTube’s new video editing app
YouTube. Commonly known as the main global video sharing platform on the www, allowing users to upload, view, and share videos on a wide variety of topics and interests. The platform where regular people come to get entertained or educated, and where creatives come for an opportunity of monetization. Some may even call it the O.G content creation platform.
YouTube announced the launch of YouTube Create last week.
And it’s about to get even better. In their Made on YouTube event last week, Youtube announced a suite of new launches, with some cool AI-powered features included. One of their news being the launch of YouTube Create - a new app that lets you edit videos directly on your phone.
So what’s the deal? Well, in an attempt to mimic TikTok’s (very) successful strategy of releasing the CapCut app, this solution is aiming to encourage more people to make YouTube Shorts by offering easy-to-use video editing tools to simplify the creation process, including precision editing and trimming, automatic captioning and voiceover capabilities. Users will also be able to access a library of various effects and filters, transitions, and royalty-free music with beat matching technology so that creators can produce their YouTube Shorts without having to rely on complex editing software.
Sounds cool, right? And what’s even better - it will be all free to download! YouTube Create is currently available in beta for some lucky Android users in the US, the UK, Germany, France, Indonesia, India, Korea, and Singapore. The rest of the world, as well as iOS users, will have to patiently wait until next year.
